This conference locates Māori research as a critical part of the growth of the pā contributing to the development of flourishing Māori communities.
We warmly welcome Māori researchers and their project partners from Kāinga Tahi Kāinga Rua BBHTC, and others to contribute research that explores a range of kāīnga Māori issues for tangata whenua. It is timely to gather together to share our research insights, strategies and approaches with the ultimate focus on progressing thriving Māori communities.
This conference will contribute to the following key outcomes:
- connecting Māori communities with housing needs to research outcomes that will advance their kaupapa;
- increasing capability of Maori-led housing research by sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration between researchers / research institutes and practitioners;
- identifying research, knowledge and resourcing gaps and priorities;
- shaping a shared Maori housing research strategy /agenda for the next 3-5 years.
